About is a very general page title… Should I write about me, about this blog? I’ll do both starting with me…
I’m a college junior attending Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) majoring in Computer Science. Immediately half of you assumed “God this must be a real dork”, but no, not all CS majors are dorks…. Just most. I’m a rare breed that actually knows how to have fun and pay attention to things other than just technology… For instance, I love football and watch it religiously during the season. And just to clear this up early, I have never watched Star Trek, have not seen the original Star Wars movies, and do not speak Klingon.
I’m a big movie person. I watch a ton of movies and I’m very critical of them so don’t be surprised if there are posts here about recently watched movies etc… I’m not too athletic, but I do love to get out and play basketball, ultimate Frisbee, football, etc… And then there are all the college-type activities, parties, parties, and more parties.
Aside from school, I work for BAE Systems doing application development, configuration, and process implementation. Basically, if you ask anyone that knows me, I’m a work-a-holic. The company decided they liked me enough that they turned me from intern to part-time from school, full-time in the summer until I’m out of school. I love my job and my team point blank.
Enough about me, time for this blog… Basically its a medium for me to introduce/explain/describe technologies, new or old for anyone that wants to learn about them. There will be more technical articles for people that are interested in it, but don’t worry I won’t stick to that road exclusively. I hope that anyone that reads it can get something out of it.
